This is a list of all the sets I have. Not nearly as
impressive as others, but every brick is as treasured as the other.
The LUGNET logo is is provided to show more information. A better
technical source, but less comprehensive reviews.

311 LEGOLAND Ferry
1973
This is my first set. My grandmother bought it for me, and my
mother spent hours putting it together. Legend has it that the
first thing I did with it was be unimpressed, after which I promptly
ripped it apart & built something else. I must have been 2 or 3
years old. |
|
 |
|
791 Red Storage Box
1973
This was awesome. I still have this, and loved it. There
were 4 sections, the 2 small for Yellow & Black parts, and the big ones
for Red & White. |

263 Kitchen
1974
Cool. I don't ever remember playing with it as a set. This
was neat cause it had large chunks. And cabinets. These
would all find their way into every city built. In addition, the
cool hinged arms made for great articulating arms, once they were all
strung together! What to do with the heads though? |

I'll admit, it has a certain appeal when seeing it in the store. That's
an awful lot of bricks going on right there. And the alternate designs &
idea book look cool. But that's about where the coolness stops.
It's kinda repetitive to build (ie not fun). It's almost impossible t
play with because it's so fragile, and can't support it's own weight. It
can strike some pretty darn cool poses though. If you can get it to stay
there.
Maybe this is just me, but I had a heck of a time understanding Lego's
color mastering skills when going thought the book. the 2 grays & blue
looked very much alike, and the orange was yellow in the book.
Finally, the head doesn't turn. 4 separate movable skirts of armor
articulate, but the head doesn't move. That's weak.
The only reason I gave it more than a rating of 3 is because it does
have shock value, is imposing & impressive, and is pretty articulate.
Not fun to build, not fun to play with. |

4881 Designer Robo Platoon
2005, 218 pcs.
Hee hee, this is a fun set! Just a few new robots, but what fun to
build. Poses are fun too, and there's a whole bunch of different
ideas. Instructions for 9 others, and 17 ideas shown. |
