Highwayman Truck

In the late 1980's there was a show on TV called the Highwayman.  It was about this cool truck that was full of tech to fight the baddies.  It was a rash.  After Knight Rider, there was the "uber-vehicle" craze.  Hulk Hogan starred in a show with a super-boat, this was the super-truck, Airwolf was the super-copter, MacGyver was the super-person (everything he touched turned into something technologically ahead of it's time (like an apple pie & paperclip turning into an nuclear device).

Anyway, 2 key features of this amazing vehicle was that the top split to allow a helicopter to take off directly from the trailer, and second being the cab was a self sufficient vehicle in it's own right, being amazingly powerful, cool looking & fast.  I modified it a bit, using a spaceship instead of helicopter, but the concepts are the same.  I'm pretty proud of this one, in terms of design, cleanliness, color coordination, and function.  Also, almost every single small vehicle I had can fit inside at once!

  Side View

Here's a nice profile view showing how long it is.  It's a good 2 feet long.  Notice the nice touch of bling in the form of small gears as hubcaps on the rear wheels?

  Components

Pretty self explanatory.  Just a single view to show what they look like separate from the whole contraption.  The smoothies allow the trailer to rotate freely while still being stable.

Again, some more detail shots.

How's that look in your rearview mirror as it barrels down on your behind?
