Aux-in is one
of the most sought-after factory options for this car.
It is a pretty simple option. Aux-in is a feature of the
car that was built into the stereo, but some some
reason, not fully implemented by the rest of the
vehicle.
The basic premise is that if you have an external audio
device (phone, laptop, MP3 player (like an iPod), PDA or
anything with a headphone jack, you can plug it into the
car & the sound will come out of the speakers. All 2003
and on models have the capability, but some lack the
physical link to plug into.
Once you have
this feature, you can switch to it via the steering
wheel SRC button, or hitting the DISK button on your
radio twice.
There are currently 2 places to get this cable. But,
however you get a cable, your dealer must still activate
aux-in as an option through Tech II.
