4 tie-downs in trunk

When the 2003 vehicles came out, there were a total of 4 tie-downs, or attachment hooks (metal loops that were part of  the floor) in the floor of the trunk or boot.  The purpose was to secure the floor cargo net, which had 4 hooks. 

 

Then, in 2004, the 2 hooks towards the front of the vehicle disappeared.  Why?  No one knows.  But Saab made good on it as they included the missing hardware if you ordered a floor net.  So don't let that stop you from ordering the nets.  Ask if they will come with the equipment to properly mount to the vehicle!

 

They don't really serve any other purpose.   If you didn't have it, you'd probably never know it was missing.
