This option assumes you have an storage tray in the spot pictured to the left, and you would like a functional ashtray instead.  It features a removable ash-catcher, a gear-dampened opening mechanism (so it opens very smoothly, almost appears motorized), a 12V outlet, which glows softly green. All disappears when the ashtray is pushed closed, creating a very neat & ordered appearance.  When open, there is limited access to the compartment below, but it also hides items in there while open.

When you order the tray, it may already come with the rubber mat.  Best to ask first.

 

Installation instructions: You will see a little tab on the left side. With a screwdriver, gently lift the tab. Pull the left side of the Tray out. Then twist the Tray to the right to release the other clip. Pull the unit out. The ashtray just slides right in.  You will have to disconnect & reconnect the electrical leads.
