Abbreviated installation instructions, courtesy
of Nimisys:
1. Remove
bumper:
a. Remove
the under shield that attaches from the front of the
bumper to the lower radiator support.
b. Undo
and pull out the electrical connector in front of
the driverside tire. This connector is the connector
for all electrical items mounted on the bumper.
c. With
the shield removed, remove the screws attaching the
bumper to the inner wheel liner.
d. Remove
the 6 press pins by the hood latch. Pull the sides
of the bumper out from the car on both sides and
then lift it off from the front of the car. It
actually comes off pretty easily.
2. Remove
the grill insert & block off (cover) plates
3. Slide
in the fog lamps and bolt them in place.
4.
Reinstall the grill and bumper on the car.
Note: The clips
you have to depress in order to remove that grill or
block off plates while still on the car are just
about impossible to reach. The problem lies in the
lower grill running between the fog lights, it has
to come off and it does not do so without a fight.
This also makes it far easier to replace the
driverside headlight bulbs.
More installation instructions courtesy of
Cojoroh:
-First, you need to gain access behind the lower
grill. to do this, you need to remove the plastic
belly pan (don't forget about the screws in the
wheel well). I also removed the front spoiler
by removing additional screws in the wheel wells and
pulling the spoiler straight out (start on one side
and pull out).
-Once
that is out of the way, you should be able to see
the tabs holding the plastic inserts (in place of
the fog lights) from underneath the car. You should
also be able to see the tabs holding the edge of the
lower grille (the edge that meets the plastic
inserts where the fog lights will go). You'll know
if you're messing with the correct tabs if you pull
outward on the edge of the lower grills.
-Once you
get the tabs disconnected and the plastic inserts
out, squeeze the fog lights in. Be sure the tabs on
the back of the fog lights line up with the holes in
the area they are going into. Insert the fog lights
at an angle by lining up the outer edge of the fog
lights in the area they are going into. Squeeze the
fog lights in by prying the edge of the lower grille
outward as you push the fog lights in. The two
pieces will rub/scrape, but if you do it right or
push hard enough, they will go past each other.
Don't forget to plug the harness into the fog
lights.
-The
switch inside the cabin is easy. Pop open the cover
for the fuse box on the side of the dash. Near
the upper right corner, you'll be able to see the
back of the existing switch. Push the switch
out from behind and simply snap the new one in after
connecting the harness.
